Learning Outcomes

D1 – KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING At the end of the course, the student should be able to: 1 Identify the different dimensions of the financial structure of a firm 2 Describe the relative connection to the business strategy 3 Contextualize different business strategies, constituted for example by the lunch an innovative product, entry in a new market, opening or continuing an R&D project, incepting a start-up, etc. D2 – APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING At the end of the course, the student should be able to: 1 Disentangle the optimal investment strategies pursued by firms in the long run 2 Define the financial sources in order to sustain those investment strategies 3 Cope with the short term management of the cash flow with regard to the payment due dates D3 – MAKING JUDGEMENTS At the end of the course, the student should be able to autonomously read and interpret the a firm's strategic behaviour and its connection to the underlying financial structure D4 – COMMUNICATION SKILLS At the end of the course the student will be able to explain the concepts and items relatively to D1 and D2 D5 – LEARNING SKILLS At the end of the course, the student should be able to collect and understand new information, that is useful to assess a firm's strategic behaviour and the underlying financial structure
