Inroduction to Civil Engineering

To acquaint the student with the historical developments in the construction industry; To provide information on the profession of civil engineering in order that the student will be able to have an overview of his/her future vocation before they embark on a four year journey towards a degree in civil engineering; To stimulate them towards choosing a "pet" subject among the five branches of civil engineering in order that he/she will decide on a field of specialization and perhaps even look forward to a graduate degree.
